OUR HISTORY

Cargo Services Far East was founded in Hong Kong in 1990 by Mr. John Lau.

  • Leading integrated global logistics solutions provider based in Hong Kong and China
  • Offices in 17 locations across China and Hong Kong employing over 6,000 people
  • Offices and operations in Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Italy, Poland and Dubai with a global network of agents covering 80 countries
  • In December 2010 acquired Allport Limited. With offices in 30 locations, they are the biggest independent logistics operator and international freight-forwarder in the U.K. they also have joint operations in the Netherlands, Poland, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Mauritius, Pakistan, Korea, Dubai, Egypt, and Nigeria, employing a combined total of 1,300 staff and workers.
  • Allport Limited re-branded as Allport Cargo Services Limited in January, 2013
  • Flat management structure between operations and senior management, allowing direct access by customers

1992 The establishment of the Representative Office of Cargo Services Far East in Shanghai
1994 The establishment of Shanghai Tian Hong Containers Limited
1996 The establishment of the Representative Office of Cargo Services Airfreight Limited in Shanghai
1999 The registration of Cargo Services (China) Limited with the approval of a Class A Forwarders Licence by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade
2001 Cargo Services (China) Limited obtained the Air Transport Qualification Certificate for Shanghai
2002 Cargo Services (China) Limited was the recipient of the first batch of NVOCC Licences approved by the Ministry of Communications
2003 The establishment of CS Logistics (Middle East) Limited in Dubai, U.A.E.
2003 The establishment of Jiahong Trading and Logistics Limited with the approval of a Foreign Trade Licence Certificate from the Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trade Commission
2004 CS Logistics Limited obtained Domestic Logistics Licence in China
2004 Cargo Services (China) Limited obtained the Air Transport Qualification Certificate for Guangzhou
2004 Jiahong Trading and Logistics Limited obtained a Class A Forwarders Licence
2013 Allport Limited rebranded as Allport Cargo Services Limited in January, 2013

Awards

Myer Awards 2008 – 2014 – Seven Years in a row

Cargo Services Far East was bestowed the “Best Supply Chain Supplier of the Year” award by Myer, the biggest department store group in Australia.

It is the 7th year in a row that Cargo Services Far East was awarded the same prize in this category of services, a record for Myer.
